Weili Duan is a Professor in water resources and climate change at Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Weilipursued a PhD degree at the Department of Civil and Earth Resources Engineering of Kyoto University in Japan in 2014.He has published 2 books and around 80 papers in leading journals. His papers have been cited >2200 times with an H-index of 25. He is a recipient ofthe Chinese National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars andthe 3rd "China New Development Awards" of Springer Nature in 2021. He serves as an editor forNational Science Review,Journal of Flood Risk Management,Hydrology Research,Frontiers Earth Science and PLOS One.
